Privacy & terms
How we handle your data, and the terms of using the service.
The data we collect
Identification data: your name, date of birth, sex, national ID, residence permit or other document number, mobile number, and email address if you give us one. Health data: the tests requested, who requested them and the clinical reason if one was given, the samples, and their results and reports. Account data: the devices you signed in from and when they were last active, and your consents with the time each was given or withdrawn. What you give us yourself: home-collection addresses (and your location on the map, if you choose to share it), a photo of your doctor's referral if you attach one, and the messages you send us through the «Contact us» page.
Why we process your data
To carry out your tests, issue your reports and deliver them to you or to whoever requested the test · to verify your identity and protect your account · to contact you about your appointments and reports · and to meet regulatory requirements. We ask for your date of birth and sex because the reference intervals your results are read against are chosen by them.
Your consents
Two consents are yours to control from your account. «Show my results in the portal»: withdrawing it genuinely hides your results from your account and deletes nothing from your medical record. «WhatsApp notifications»: withdrawing it stops our WhatsApp messages to you. Your consent to home collection is recorded with each request, and you can withdraw it from your account. Your consent to our other contact channels and to appointment reminders is recorded or changed at the branch. If you withdraw consent for a channel, we send you nothing on it except activation, sign-in and recovery codes. The time each consent is given and withdrawn is recorded. We never ask you for a marketing consent.
Who sees your results, and when
Inside the laboratory, your results are seen by the people who need them to do their work, according to the permissions of each role. Your file may be marked as restricted, in which case the clinical content on your file's page is shown only to someone with a special permission, and any emergency access to it is recorded with its reason and duration. You see your results in your account once a specialist has given final release, together with the reference interval; no value is shown before then. For some highly sensitive tests, your account shows the test's name but not its values, and the report is not sent by link: it is handed to you in person at the laboratory. A result that needs urgent attention is not just displayed: it is reported directly, and the report is documented.
The report link
When your report is issued, the branch may send you a message saying your report is ready, with a secure link to your signed report file. The message contains no result. The branch may also record delivery of your report by a secure link to your signed report file: the link's code is shown once to the staff member who records the delivery, and the link reaches you in the branch's message, by WhatsApp, SMS or e-mail. The link is valid for 31 days. The laboratory can cancel it as long as it has not been opened yet, and it stops working automatically if the report is withdrawn or replaced by a newer version. Every opening is recorded with its time. The link does not ask for a password: anyone who has it can open your report while it is valid, so only share it with people you want to see it. The link's page does not appear in search engines. Your report is also in your account once it is issued, unless it includes a test whose results are handed over at the laboratory.
Retention
Your medical file, which includes your laboratory reports, is kept for at least ten years from your last visit, as health regulations require, and our system does not delete any of it when that period ends. Ending your relationship with us does not mean your medical record is deleted, and a file you create on the website is not deleted even if you never visit.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to know how we process your data, which is what this page explains · to access it, and your account shows you your orders, results and reports without you having to ask · to obtain a copy, since your signed report can be downloaded from your account or collected at the branch · to ask for anything wrong to be corrected, though changing your name or date of birth requires a branch visit with proof of identity, to protect your medical record from being mixed up · to ask for it to be destroyed, and such a request is reviewed with the statutory retention period for medical records in mind · and to withdraw your consents at any time. To make any request about your data, use the button below or visit any branch.
Artificial intelligence
Our system does not use artificial intelligence to prepare your results or reports, and no result is released automatically: every result is approved, under their own name, by an authorised specialist before it reaches you. Your data is not used to train any model.
Protecting your account, and the access record
A password is required, and we do not store the password itself, only a fingerprint of it that cannot be turned back into it. Your session closes automatically after a period of inactivity. On the «Security & sessions» page you can see every device signed in to your account and end any of them whenever you like, and changing your password ends every other device at once. Your identity number is never shown in full on any screen of your account. On your file, laboratory staff see your mobile number masked; someone with the permission can reveal it in full, and every reveal is recorded with who did it and when. Staff who may edit your file also see it in full on the editing screen. Actions on your account and your orders, such as signing in, opening your results and reports, giving or withdrawing consent and booking, are recorded with their time and who carried them out.
